A Compassionate Farewell
When a loved one chooses direct cremation, it can leave family and friends with the sadness of not having the opportunity to say a "proper goodbye."
We understand the importance of a meaningful farewell, and we're here to offer a solution that respects both your loved one's wishes and the need for a final, intimate tribute.
In our small Chapel of Rest, we invite up to a dozen people to gather for a peaceful, heartfelt remembrance service by your loved one's coffin.
For larger groups, we can arrange multiple smaller services in succession, ensuring everyone can pay their respects.
A Meaningful Tribute Tailored to Your Wishes
The service can be as personal as you wish—dim lighting, candles, and your loved one's favourite music can all be included.
A celebrant will lead the service with a short eulogy or life story, a poem, prayers, and a committal, all tailored to your preferences.
This service can take place a few days before the direct cremation, allowing family and friends a quiet moment to honour their loved one.
The cost for this service is £250, which includes the celebrant's fee. If two or more services are needed for a larger group, the price will be slightly higher.
We hope this compromise provides a fitting way for you and your family to say goodbye, while still honouring the wishes of your loved one.
If someone has died, we can smooth the path and deal with every issue for you.
