In Memory of Graham Rounce
Position: Co-founder, Rounce Funeral Services
Tenure: Over 10 Years (2004-2015)
In loving memory of Graham Rounce, a founding pillar of Rounce Funeral Services, whose legacy continues to shape the compassionate ethos of our family firm. Graham, father to current owners Jon and Chris Rounce, embarked on an extraordinary journey that left an indelible mark on our community.
Before venturing into the world of funeral services, Graham spent two decades with Datsun and Nissan, ultimately serving as the National UK Parts Manager. In 2004, he took a leap of faith and co-founded Rounce Funeral Services with his son, Chris. Graham often expressed that it was the best decision he ever made, viewing it not as a job but as a vocation—a calling to help families navigate the challenging process of saying goodbye.
His commitment to excellence was evident in the countless cards and letters received from families expressing gratitude. Graham's mantra, "Of course, no problem," was a testament to his unwavering dedication. He would tirelessly work until the early hours of the morning, ensuring that every last-minute change from a grieving family was seamlessly integrated before a scheduled funeral.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Graham volunteered for over a decade with the Samaritans, answering their emergency line twice a week overnight. His selfless commitment to supporting those in need extended beyond funeral services, reflecting his deep sense of empathy and compassion.
A man of many talents, Graham found solace and joy in playing the accordion with the Worthing Accordion Band. His love for music mirrored his passion for bringing comfort to others during difficult times.
Though Graham is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the compassionate service and dedication that defines Rounce Funeral Services. His legacy continues to inspire us to approach our work with the same warmth, care, and commitment that he exemplified throughout his remarkable life.
